Get Over It

How many times have you shared a struggle you were having, and someone casually answered you, “Get over it”. Of course if you could just get over it you would, but it hits you between the eyes every time it enters your thought life. I’ve found a greater way to get over it, than just try to “white knuckle” your way to arresting the thoughts that continue to bombard you. You literally have to get OVER it, above it, which involves taking your seat of authority in Christ Jesus. When we sit in our place with Him, we are above the earthly hassles and can see from another perspective. Then His promises that we are above and not beneath, and that the greater one lives in us become a secured place in Him. When the enemy is where he belongs which is under our feet, we can “cast down those vain imaginations that try to exalt themselves above the knowledge of God.” Begin to rehearse the truths of who you are in Christ…a conqueror, one who always triumphs, that is more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. If necessary, agree with your adversary quickly. If he is accusing you of something that is absolutely true, just agree with him, and then face him head on with the truth that “even is YOU are faithless, GOD remains faithful! Christianity is not about you being so strong, its about Christ’s strength being made perfect in your weaknesses. You are a conqueror because He conquered for you, and every victory is because you are a trophy of His grace. If you’ve ever flown in an airplace, you know how perfectly “in order” the earth below looks from up above! Since Genesis, when God spoke, “let their be light”, the world was brought into order by Words. Use your words to bring your life into order. Holy Spirit hovers over the face of the earth, waiting for the command of your words. Take the pressure off! Get OVER it, and take your seat in heavenly places. You’ve got this!
