As in any "art" the skills to waiting on God can be learned. God promises renewed strength and vitality as we learn to pull back from the "busyness" of life and spend time waiting upon Him. If we will develop a lifestyle of watching daily at His gates, we will find ourselves making Holy Spirit led choices and decisions that will keep us on track with the plans and purposes of God. 

"There remains a rest for the people of God... who have ceased from the weariness and pain of human labors..." (Heb 4:9-10)
